Michael Petro, 47, of Wolcott, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 25, for allegedly robbing a Wilton landscaping company in 2018, and again in 2019, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
The first burglary took place on Oct. 25, 2018, at the Glen Gate Landscaping company that involved the theft of $2,300 of landscaping equipment from a vehicle, Kluk said.
Police were again called to the same landscaping company in May, for a report of another burglary from a box truck and the theft of $2,000 worth of landscaping equipment, police said.
Warrants were issued for Petro following an investigation by the department's detective division.
On Friday, Petro was nabbed by the Naugatuck Police Department on a traffic stop and transported back to Wilton on the warrants.
He was charged with two counts of larceny and two counts of criminal trespass.
Petro was released on a $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 13.
The Wilton Police Department anticipates a second arrest in these cases.
